Who we are
Human Appeal Development Organization (HADO) is a non-governmental organization registered in South Sudan with a mission of strengthening, transforming, and uplifting the lives of vulnerable people through relief assistance and empowerment programs.
The organization is highly motivated, committed, and sensitive toward the needs of indigenous groups that lack political representation, and others who are socially excluded, disadvantaged or otherwise in need of social, political, economic, and moral support.
Human Appeal Development Organization’s goal is to uplift the socio-economic and cultural status of the rural & urban poor and disadvantaged people, emphasizing the women, disabled and children through relief assistance and empowerment programs where it imparts felt-need based problem solving programs.
Human Appeal Development Organization members possess a solid understanding of the existing status of marginalized people living across the war-ravaged South Sudan. The members also have general knowledge of national policies in addition to the skills and experience needed to plan for relief assistance, community development and empowerment programs
Our approach
We embrace a community led approach by working hand in hand with targeted beneficiaries including liaison and coordination with stakeholders including local government (State, County, Payam and Boma levels), chiefs, women, youth, church leaders and CBOs; at the national level with work in close collaboration and partnership with the Ministry of Gender, Child and Social Welfare, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management/RRC, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, Peace and Human Rights Commissions. We also work closely with counterpart agencies including UN, International NGOs and National NGOs to create synergies. The organization’s unique approach helps vulnerable people to increase on their production, resources, income, consumption and human capital.
