Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution
Human Appeal Development Organization (HADO) promotes peacebuilding and good governance by fostering peaceful coexistence and social cohesion through inclusive and community-driven approaches that address the root causes of conflict.
The organization strengthens local conflict resolution systems by supporting community dialogue and mediation, social cohesion and reconciliation initiatives, early warning and conflict prevention mechanisms, engagement with traditional leadership structures, and peace education and advocacy.
Through these integrated efforts, HADO empowers communities to resolve disputes peacefully, build trust, and strengthen sustainable governance structures at the grassroots level.

2024
Project Title: Youth Peacebuilding Project – Pibor Administrative Area
The project aimed to strengthen social cohesion among youth and their communities through youth-led civic engagement in Pibor Town and Jebel Boma (Greater Pibor Administrative Area, GPAA), South Sudan. It supported the formation of 10 Peace Clubs and delivered peacebuilding training to 200, enhanced youth understanding of conflict and its impact on community development, resulted in increased participation in community dialogues and improved knowledge and skills for conflict mitigation
2023
Project Title: Promoting Peacebuilding and Community Dialogue – Lainya, and Juba Counties
In 2023, Human Appeal Development Organization (HADO) implemented a peacebuilding initiative in Lainya County to strengthen social cohesion and promote peaceful coexistence among communities.
The project convened 80 participants, including government stakeholders, traditional and church leaders, uniformed forces, women and youth groups, and NGO partners, through a structured peacebuilding training workshop. Participants gained practical skills in conflict prevention, mediation, and community-led dialogue approaches.
Funded through HADO’s internal resources, the initiative strengthened coordination among key actors, enhanced local capacity for conflict resolution, and contributed to improved trust and collaboration across diverse community groups.
