HUMAN APPEAL DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION

Water, Hygiene, and Sanitation (WASH)

Human Appeal Development Organization (HADO) implements comprehensive Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) interventions aimed at improving access to safe drinking water, adequate sanitation, and sustainable hygiene practices in vulnerable communities.

The organization constructs and rehabilitates water sources such as boreholes, promotes safe water management through training of water user committees and pump mechanics, and supports water quality testing to ensure safety.

HADO also enhances sanitation by supporting the construction of latrines and promoting community-led hygiene practices through behavior change campaigns, distribution of hygiene and menstrual hygiene management materials, and installation of handwashing facilities in schools and health centers.

Through capacity building of community structures, leaders, and hygiene promoters, as well as community clean-up campaigns, HADO strengthens local ownership and sustainability of WASH services while reducing waterborne diseases and improving public health outcomes.
