On 19th June 2026, to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict, HADO, in partnership with the Achol Phillip Foundation, hosted a radio talk show on Eeye Radio. The program addressed the urgent issue of conflict‑related sexual violence (CRSV), which includes rape, sexual slavery, and forced pregnancy used as tactics of war.
During the discussion, Mr. Aninyasi Mark Peter (Executive Director, HADO) and Mrs. Susan Awut (Executive Director, Achol Phillip Foundation) emphasized three critical pillars for ending CRSV:
- Accountability: Ensuring perpetrators are prosecuted to break cycles of impunity and uphold justice.
- Protection: Safeguarding civilians, especially women and children, in conflict zones and displacement camps.
- Support for Survivors: Delivering safe medical care, psychosocial support, and urgent assistance to victims.
This initiative demonstrates the organizations’ commitment to raising public awareness, strengthening justice systems, and mobilizing community action against sexual violence in conflict.
