Environment & Climate Change
Human Appeal Development Organization (HADO) is committed to advancing environmental sustainability and climate resilience in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our
Environment & Climate Change thematic area focuses on protecting natural resources, reducing environmental risks, and supporting communities to adapt to the impacts of climate change.
HADO promotes climate-smart and sustainable practices through initiatives such as reforestation, sustainable land use, and environmental conservation, contributing to SDG 13 Climate Action (Climate Action) and SDG 15 Life on Land (Life on Land).
We also work to improve access to clean energy solutions and reduce reliance on environmentally harmful practices, aligning with SDG 7 Affordable and Clean Energy.
Recognizing the link between environment and public health, our interventions integrate waste management, pollution reduction, and air quality awareness, supporting SDG 3 Good Health and Well-being.
Additionally, HADO strengthens community capacity to respond to climate shocks such as floods and droughts through disaster risk reduction and resilience-building programs. Through partnerships, advocacy, and community engagement, HADO aims to foster environmentally responsible behaviors and contribute to sustainable development pathways that safeguard ecosystems while improving livelihoods.
